What a Claimed Listing adds
One flat price a month or a year, cancel anytime. No per-lead fees, no commission on jobs. Find your listing above and the price is on its claim card.
- Quote requests sent straight to you. When a homeowner in your service area asks for your kind of work, the request and their contact details come to your inbox. No per-request charge, no bidding.
- Ahead of standard listings. Your card, with the Verified badge, your contact details and a quote button, sits above every standard listing on your city's or county's page on GroundRoster. In GroundRoster ZIP code searches within 150 miles of you, you show ahead of every standard listing.
- Your contact details. Your phone, email and a link to your website on your listing. Standard listings show none of them.
- Your own message to customers. Up to 1000 characters on your listing, labeled as your own words.
- The nearby towns you serve. Say how far you travel for work, and your listing also shows, labeled "Also serving", on the pages of other cities in your state within that distance. The same distance decides which quote requests come to you (50 miles until you set one).
- A license badge for your website. A snippet on your manage page puts your license number and status on your own site, linked to your listing. How the badge works.
- Open to every licensed business. Any number of businesses in a city can have a Claimed Listing, so a request can go to several. A request sent from a Claimed Listing's own page or card goes to that business alone.
Find your listing above and claim it right here, or buy it from your manage page once your claim is confirmed.
Let the jobs find you.
A new well or septic system often runs $5,000 or more. A Claimed Listing puts you ahead of standard listings on GroundRoster and sends homeowners' quote requests in your area straight to your inbox. No per-lead fees. One job can cover years of it.
Why the flat price wins
| Typical lead platforms | GroundRoster Claimed Listing | |
|---|---|---|
| What you pay | $15 to $100 per lead, plus a yearly membership of a few hundred dollars | One flat price a month or a year. That's it. |
| Who gets each request | The same lead sold to 3 to 8 contractors | Every quote request in your service area, included |
| When you pay | Per lead, whether or not you win the job | Never per request. No bidding, no commission |
| Cost of one won job | Contractors who track it often report more than $1,000 in lead fees per job won | A month of your membership, however many you win |
A new well averages about $5,500 and a septic system about $6,100. One job covers years of a Claimed Listing. The membership costs about what one or two shared leads cost elsewhere, and it sends you every request in your area.

What a homeowner sees
Your listing shows what your licensing record says, as of the last time we checked it:
- The license number, type and status, and the expiry or renewal date where the roster publishes one.
- The city on the license record, labeled "Based in". Phone, email and website show only on a Claimed Listing.
- The agency that issued the license, the date we last checked its roster, and a link to verify the license there.
What claiming does
- Revise your listing details. Your manage page has a form to tell us what is wrong on your listing, your business name included. We review every request by hand.
- Confirmed first. Nothing changes until we confirm you control the business.
- A private manage link. A confirmed claim gets its own manage page, with the form to revise your listing details and the Claimed Listing.
- Confirming costs nothing. The Verified badge and the website badge come with a Claimed Listing.
What stays with the issuing agency
License details, status and address come from the record of the agency that issued your license, and a claim doesn't change them. If that record is wrong, the agency is the place to fix it; our copy picks up the change when we next refresh from the roster. If our copy doesn't match the agency's record, tell us.
Premium services, done for you
Two services built around your business. Tell us what you need in one short form, and we handle the rest: quick turnaround, fair pricing, and nothing for you to manage. There's no set price list; you get a quote before any work starts.
- Build me a premium website. A custom, professional site built around your business: your services, the area you serve, your license and an easy way for customers to call or ask for a quote, on any phone or computer. You send us the basics; we write, design and build it, and you see it before it goes live. A Claimed Listing links to it from your listing. Request the details.
- Find me job leads. Tell us your trade, where you work and the jobs you want, and we go looking for work that fits, then send you each opening we find with what you need to follow up. We find the openings; winning the work is up to you. Request the details.
Something else?
- Not listed? Tell us your state and license number below and we will check it against the issuing agency's records.
- License badge? The Verified badge and the website badge come with a Claimed Listing. How the badge works.
