GroundRoster is an independent informational directory compiled from official state licensing records. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government agency, nor to any other similarly named website or business. By using this site you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, do not use the site.

The directory is information, not a recommendation

Listings reproduce professional licensing records published by state authorities. Records change, and errors and gaps occur. Everything on this site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that any listing is accurate, complete, or current. Always verify a license directly with the official state source linked on each profile before hiring anyone. Content on this site, including guides, is general information, not professional, engineering, health, or legal advice.

We are a directory, not a referral service, broker, or agent. We do not vet, endorse, or recommend any listed business, we take no commission on any job, and we are not a party to any transaction between you and a well and septic professional. Any work you hire out is solely between you and the business you hire. We are not responsible for a listed business's work, licensing status, insurance, pricing, or conduct. Quote requests are forwarded as a convenience; we do not guarantee a response.

Claimed listings

Claiming a listing is free. By submitting a claim or any content (business name, contact details, description, write-up), you confirm you are authorized to act for that business and that what you submit is truthful and lawful, and you grant us permission to display it. We may edit, decline, or remove submitted content, or any listing, at our discretion. The verified badge may be embedded only for a business's own live listing and must link back to it.

Featured placement

Featured placement is a paid subscription processed by Stripe. The price, billing interval, perks, and any rate commitment for your subscription are those presented at checkout at the time of purchase. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. Cancel anytime via the contact form; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and partial periods are not refunded. The same terms apply to any other paid feature we may offer.

Featured placement buys screen position on this site and the perks described at purchase, nothing more. We do not guarantee leads, calls, jobs, revenue, or search-engine ranking. One slot exists per city and trade; if your subscription lapses, the slot reopens. If we end your featured placement for any reason other than your breach of these terms, we will refund the unused portion of what you prepaid, and that refund is the entire remedy.

Acceptable use

You may not scrape, bulk-download, or republish the directory, misrepresent your identity or business, or use the site for anything unlawful. We may block or refuse service to anyone who does.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, send the page URL, the work you say is infringed, and your contact details via the contact form. We remove or disable content in response to valid notices, and we end the claimed-listing privileges of repeat infringers.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of this site (its owner and anyone working on it) is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from work performed by, or any dispute with, a listed business. Total liability for all claims combined is capped at the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. If you are dissatisfied with the site, your remedy is to stop using it and, for subscribers, to cancel.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of this site (its owner and anyone working on it) from claims, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from content you submit, your use of the site, or your violation of these terms.

Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Before filing any claim, you agree to describe the dispute in writing via the contact form and allow 60 days to resolve it. Any claim not resolved that way must be brought in small claims court or by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's consumer rules. Claims may be brought individually only, not as a class or representative action, and must be brought within one year of when the claim arose. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

General

These terms are the entire agreement between you and the operator of this site about your use of the site, and they supersede any prior discussions or understandings. A failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms; we may assign ours, including as part of a sale or reorganization of the site. We are not liable for any delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control. The disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute provisions survive any termination of these terms or your use of the site.

Changes

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or listing, or the site itself, at any time without notice. If we discontinue a paid feature, the refund of the unused prepaid portion described under Featured placement is the sole remedy. We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this page, and continued use of the site after a change is acceptance of it. Questions: use the contact form.
